Tube amplifiers
Tube amplifiers and preamplifiers hand-built in the United States, for a natural, detailed and open sound.
The appeal of tubes
Tube amplifiers are the choice of many music lovers for their natural tone, harmonic richness and ability to recreate a wide, deep soundstage. Good tube electronics are not a nostalgic object: they are precision instruments that demand careful design, selected components and meticulous construction.
Atma-Sphere’s OTL (output transformerless) amplifiers do away with the output transformer: the tubes drive the loudspeakers directly, removing a component that can limit bandwidth and speed.
Matching the loudspeakers
A tube amplifier performs at its best with efficient loudspeakers with a regular impedance. The high-sensitivity Shakuto Audio horn loudspeakers are designed precisely for low-power tube amplifiers. For all our other electronics, see our hi-fi amplifiers.
